Converging Pathways: 15 Years Protecting and Sharing Life
This year FORPP celebrates an important milestone, 15 years accompanying grassroots communities in Colombia!
15 years ago our first two volunteer accompaniers arrived in Apartadó, welcomed by the entire population of La Unión, the San José de Apartadó Peace Community hamlet where we maintain our volunteer team. Throughout this period, accompaniers have come and gone – and frequently come back to visit, testament to the long-lasting bonds that are created through this work – while the accompaniment project has stood by the campesinos of this most visionary of communities.
We invite you to follow and join us in our anniversary celebrations! We have many activities planned for the upcoming coming months, including a public event in Bogotá to highlight the work of our accompaniment team as well as our partners, a get-together of ex-volunteers, and share a collection of stories and memories from past accompaniment teams with you. We will be updating this page often, so check back frequently!
We are grateful that our pathways have converged with so many inspiring people in these 15 years.
