Susana Pimiento and Sebastian Patino interviewed on WBAI with Robert Knight

Robert Knight interviewed Fellowship of Reconciliation staff member Susana Pimiento and a young Colombian conscientious objector today on his WBAI (Pacifica Radio network) “5 O’Clock Shadow” show. His program is a highly regarded progressive-issues show broadcast during the “drive time” interval.

Susana, who works with FOR’s Task Force on Latin America and the Caribbean, clearly defined the U.S. government’s role in financing the Colombian military and their “auxiliary” forces. We are told that this is humanitarian aid. The expanding use of surveillance drones is a continued threat to the Colombian people’s freedom from the military. Sebastian Patino is a member of the brave group of young people that have refused mandatory conscription in the Colombian military.
