Me emociono pensando en todos ustedes reunidos en un solo lugar para celebrar este día. Me gustaría estar allí con ustedes en vivo, pero hasta allí, yo sé que cada día los llevo a todos conmigo en mente y corazón. Llevo conmigo las enormes lecciones aprendidas de mi tiempo en la Comunidad de Paz, Tamarindo, Nilo, Buenaventura, Bogotá, Boquerón, Don Jaca, y Valledupar. Su fuerza y persistencia, su liderazgo, sus incansables esfuerzos para mantener la comunidad, la familia, el hogar, el sagrado que es la tierra, y los derechos de la gente como los más importantes — estas cualidades me inspiran cada día en mi trabajo y mi vida personal, hasta el día de hoy. Siento tan humilde por haber tenido la oportunidad de trabajar con ustedes, y sigo siendo humillada por el trabajo que todos ustedes y FORPP hacen juntos. Felicitaciones en este día. ¡Los quiero tanto y espero abrazarlos pronto!
It excites me to think about all of you together in one place to celebrate today. I know that I bring all of you in my heart with me, each day. I still carry the enormous lessons that I learned from my time in the Peace Community, Tamarindo, Nilo, Buenaventura, Bogotá, Boquerón, Don Jaca, y Valledupar. Your strength and persistence, leadership, tireless efforts to uphold your communities, families, homes, sacred lands, and the rights of the people, as the most important – these qualities continue, to this day, to inspire me in my work and personal life. I feel so humbled to have had the opportunity to have worked with you, and still feel humbled for the work that all of you and FORPP do together. Congratulations for this day! Love to you all and hope to hug you soon!
